Favorite Vacation Destination

27.7.18
If you can guess where this place is by the title, you may be one of closest people to me. As I've mentioned in my very first blog post, Laguna Beach is my favorite vacation destination in the West Coast, and I got to visit again during my trip to Southern California just a couple weeks ago.

I literally cried when I saw the Pacific Ocean again, having not seen in about two years since I haven't had the time and the funds to fly to the West Coast as often as I used to. There's just something about being back in the waters than you grew up in. It's like being at home, even though you're physically not.

Laguna Beach is a part of the Orange County. It's around an hour away from Los Angeles and 30 minutes away from Santa Ana. It boasts clear blue waters and surprisingly it's not as crowded as other beaches in California that I've been to (e.g. Santa Monica, Santa Cruz, and Venice). It makes me think that this beach is probably so underrated to most of people traveling to Cali.

This place not only has the clearest and cleanest beaches in SoCal, but the art culture here is also very prominent. There are a bunch of art galleries all around town and art festivals are celebrated here very often. This may also be why I feel so connected to this place, because I'm an art enthusiast myself. When you enter the main road towards Laguna, you'll see various farms and artsy homes colored in so many different hues. It's super trippy.

If I was high, I'd probably trip if I was driving down this road. Travel tip: There are a bunch of parking lots on different streets/boulevards. They will be labeled by lot number, but make sure to check up on how many hours max you're allowed to be parked there. Some have all-day parking while some may only have 2-hour parking. Parking on the side streets is also available, though you're paying for them by the hour. So make sure you're coming back to pay for an extended time slot before your prior paid hours end.

I would love to come back here again very soon and maybe even with my three best friends. But for now, here are my little minions/cousins, who also really enjoyed their time here.

Well, guess that's it for now. Look out for more posts soon since surprisingly, I seem to have a lot of free time this summer even though I've been working hella hard as well.

xx,

C
